Ἕνα συνετό κορίτσι, ποὺ ζεῖ μέ εὐσέβεια, ἀξίζει ὅσο ὅλη ἡ οἰκουμένη. Γι’ αὐτό σ’ ἀγάπησα, σ’ ἀγαπῶ καί πάνω ἀπ’ τή ζωή μου σέ βάζω. Τίποτα δέν εἶναι ἡ παροῦσα ζωή. Προσεύχομαι, λοιπόν, καί παρακαλῶ τόν Θεό καί κάνω ὅ,τι μπορῶ γιά ν’ ἀξιωθοῦμε τή ζωή μας ἔτσι νά τήν περάσουμε, ὥστε καί στή Βασιλεία τῶν Οὐρανῶν νά εἴμαστε μαζί. Γιατί ἡ παροῦσα ζωή καί σύντομη καί προσωρινή εἶναι· ἄν ὅμως ἀξιωθοῦμε νά τήν περάσουμε εὐαρεστώντας τὸν Θεό, καί μαζί καί μέ τὸν Χριστό θά εἴμαστε αἰώνια, μέσα σέ ἀπερίγραπτη εὐφροσύνη.
