An Ancient Egyptian tomb full of coffins was discovered in Assasif, Egypt.
The Egyptian Minister of Antiquities Dr. Khaled El-Enany announced that the Egyptian archaeological mission working at Assasif, on the West Bank of the Nile opposite the city of Luxor, uncovered a tomb that belongs to a man called Thaw-Irkhet-If. Under the direction of the Grand Angoulême Conurbation Community and the Nouvelle Aquitaine public land-management institution, the Angoulême train station quarter is currently undergoing a major redevelopment project. In this context, the State services (DRAC Nouvelle-Aquitaine) have prescribed a preventive excavation on the Renaudin Islet, located in a sector that is poorly known from an archaeological perspective.
