Archaeologists in Germany have unearthed a surprisingly well preserved Neolithic skeleton along with other graves and items. The discovery was made in a Bavarian cornfield, in Lower Franconia, and the skeleton was preserved due to the composition of the soil. Το 2000 στην επιβλητική οχυρή ακρόπολη του Bernstorf, κοντά στο Μόναχο, η οποία καταστράφηκε από πυρκαϊά γύρω στο 1300 π.Χ. ή αργότερα και είχε ήδη αποδώσει ένα θησαυρό χρυσών αντικειμένων Αιγαιακής εμφάνισης, βρέθηκαν δύο σφραγίδες από ήλεκτρο που φέρουν, κατά τα φαινόμενα, συλλαβογράμματα Γραμμικής Β γραφής.
