In our day and age there is a noticeable increase in people who have been unearthing from oblivion and reliving the worship of ‘gods’ belonging to ancient pagan religions. Secular Psychotherapy and the Therapeutic Method of the Orthodox Church

Is secular “psychotherapy” compatible with the principles and the anthropology of the Orthodox Church?

An interview with Dr Jean Claude Larchet (*), University Professor who holds a doctorate in the Humanities, and has studied Psychopathology, Philosophy and the Eastern Church Fathers, and has also had clinical experience in psychiatric hospitals.

“…Η Εκκλησία είναι θεραπευτήριο και όχι δικαστήριο των ψυχών. Δεν καταδικάζει για τα αμαρτήματα, αλλά παρέχει συγχώρηση των αμαρτημάτων.
Τίποτα δεν κάνει τόσο χαρούμενη τη ζωή μας, όσο η ευχαρίστηση που νιώθουμε στην Εκκλησία.
