Do we really have Love or we live in a delusion?

In the following text, Saint Ephraim the Syrian demonstrates the characteristics of the person who trully has Love.

Ag.-Efraim-o-Syros

“He who has love is not jealous, he does not envy, he does not victimize, he does not delight in the fall of others, he does not humiliate he who fell into error, but he condoles him; stands by him and relieves him. Ηe does not overlook the brother in his need, but stands by him, dies with him, and executes the will of God, and he is His disciple.

Because our good Despot himself said “From this, all people will know that you are my disciples; if you love one another.”

The one who has love never obtains something for himself, he does not regard anything as his own, but everything he has, offers it in common to everyone.

He who has love considers no one as a stranger, but considers everyone his people; he is not fired, he does not become pretentious, he does not become furious with anyone, he is never happy with any injustice done, he is not lying ever, considers no one as his enemy, but the Devil only.

He who has love endures all, he is beneficial, he is long-suffering. “
